After providing your DD214, the next step is obtaining a Certificate of Eligibility (COE). The COE verifies to the lender that you are eligible for a VA-backed loan. The evidence needed for a COE is based on the nature of eligibility. Before digging through piles of old papers looking for your DD Form 214, allow us to try to obtain your COE from VA first.
