Jeff Wilson
President of Military & Veteran Lending Division
Jeff’s early career started when he enlisted in the US Army in 1979 and retired as a Major after more than 21 years of active and reserve service.
In 1988, Jeff began his career in the mortgage industry as a Loan Officer in Phoenix, AZ. He joined the Department of Veterans Affairs in 1990 holding positions in various offices with VA throughout the US. In October 2017, Jeff retired from government service with over 31 years of Federal Service after serving Veterans in the Loan Guaranty Division as the Loan Guaranty Officer at the Phoenix Regional Loan Center with oversight for all participants in the VA Home Loan program throughout the Southwest states, Hawaii, and the Pacific Islands.
Since his retirement, Jeff has worked in the mortgage industry in business development positions as the Vice President of Military and Veteran Lending at Caliber Home Loans and previously as the Vice President of Veteran and Military Lending for CMG Financial and the Director of VA Business Development for American Pacific Mortgage.
Jeff is an alumnus of Leadership VA, class of 2010. He currently serves as Chairman of the Veterans Committee for NAMB and is also a member of the National Education Committee and consults for the Legislative Affairs Committee for the Veterans Association of Real Estate Professionals (VAREP).
On March 1, 2023, Jeff began his new career as the owner of VA Housing Educators and Consulting, LLC. This new venture will allow Jeff to teach in both the real estate and mortgage industries as well as consult with real estate and mortgage professionals on all things possible with VA home loans.
